On-line adjudication does not guarantee a Third Party payment, but with the volume of third party business always increasing, reimbursement is increasingly difficult to track and research.
NHIN's fully integrated and continually evolving submission and reconciliation system can help you control third party receivables and possibly increase your payment rate. NHIN is currently working with over 300 processors and processing over 9.7 million claims a month, with a 99.7% payment rate.
In addition, customers who use the NHIN AR System and services have access to programs that help them balance store sales, track missing days, balance remittance detail on deposits, and receive more than 100 customized accounting reports on a weekly and end-of-period basis. Some of NHIN's reports include Sales, Trial Balance, General Ledger, Aging, Collection, Payment Analysis and Rejection.
NHIN also offers Customer Access, an online site that allows customers to:
- View and retrieve stores' daily sales reports
- Review current pharmacy and payment information on each transaction
- Perform sales adjustments and write-offs
- Retrieve customized weekly and monthly reports (formatted and delimited reporting available)
- Review deposit information to easily determine which claims were paid from third parties
- Upload files and reports to NHIN, maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Access cross-reference files to third party carrier codes and BIN/PCNs
NHIN AR reports and online customer access give customers the tools they need to effectively manage third party receivables.
