PDX Data Analysis Tool (DAT) is a robust software program that achieves
data analysis and can also be used as a

REPORT WRITER
DAT is packaged with predefined DAT reports that are included with
your Pharmacy and Host systems. You can use these DAT reports to
generate and print a patient file listing, drug file listing, patient
utilization report, drug movement report, and much more.
You can copy existing DAT reports or create your own from scratch.
After you define specific categories and sections on your report
from your store's files, you can retrieve information from your
data files to generate reports such as custom medical expense summaries,
various sales analysis reports, special marketing, or promotional
letters to send to your customers.
Using DAT as a report writer, you can
- easily generate standard PDX-DAT reports and prescription
labels with your store's information
- design your own reports and retrieve information from
your data files
- manipulate how data is retrieved and printed by creating
your own sorting and selection criteria on exisiting reports and
labels, as well as on those that you design
- select and define any data element available in your
system to print on a report
- create calculated or conditional data elements to
total, calculate, or apply conditions to the data you specify
LABEL GENERATOR
As a label generator, DAT provides all of the features as a Report
Writer that also enables you to specialize and maintain your prescription
labels to fit your pharmacy's needs. You can define label types
for
- new or refill prescriptions
- transmittal prescriptions
- labels only
- additional transmit DUR responses
- phone doctor labels
- nursing home labels
You can also design or customize your own patient education form,
receipts, or patient counseling. Once you design your label and
label forms, you can print labels from the Pharmacy system.
DATA PROCESSING AND EXPORT TOOL
From the data you retrieve and the reports you generate, you can
review your information and perform data analysis. You can also
send flat files to your mainframe system for further analysis.
Using the filters available in DAT, you can export your store's
information to other systems not related to Pharmacy. For example,
you might want to export your sales data to Microsoft Excel to create
a graph or table showing monthly revenue, or export third party
billing information directly to your accounting system.
