The Rx.com Electronic Pharmacy Record (EPR), integrated with the Enterprise Pharmacy System and the PDX Pharmacy System, equips pharmacies to fill prescriptions at any store in the chain and perform true chain-wide drug utilization review (DUR) for patients, regardless of which store in your chain they shop. As a result, your patients can visit any of your stores for their prescription needs while your chain offers a safer, more convenient healthcare experience.
The EPR facilitates the chain-wide exchange of demographic, prescription, clinical and transaction data. This technology enables true chain-wide DUR and allows patients to have prescriptions filled and refilled at any store in the chain. It provides enhanced safety and convenience for the patient. In addition, the integrated Rx.com e-Pharmacy Web Engine allows patients to view their complete medication profile for all prescriptions filled at stores throughout the chain. Patients can also upload their prescription profiles to their Google Health and Microsoft HealthVault accounts.
As of June 2009, over 4,500 pharmacies—representing over 65 million patients and almost one billion prescriptions— have implemented the Electronic Healthcare Record technology. As a result, these pharmacies are already compliant with the Health Information Technology requirements legislated by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
Features
Integration with Google Health and Microsoft HealthVault allows pharmacies that aggregate their data in the EPR to make this data available for their patients who maintain Personal Healthcare Records with Google Health and HealthVault.
