Google Health is a free online service that puts patients in charge of their health
information by letting them store and manage their medical records online in one safe,
secure place. Patients can gather medical records from doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies
and can share that information securely with family members, doctors, or caregivers. To
learn more about Google Health, click here.
Currently, patients can access their prescription history from an individual pharmacy’s Web site
linked to the PDX-Rx.com co-location facility. With the Google Health integration, patients can get
copies of this data downloaded into Google Health user accounts. As a result, patients of these
pharmacies will be able to view a more complete prescription profile that may include medical records
from a variety of pharmacies and healthcare providers.
Google Health users must explicitly provide consent to any PDX pharmacy customer to import their
prescription history into Google Health and/or share Google Health profile data back to the pharmacy.
Google Health also allows users to share their medical data with other providers, which ultimately
helps to better coordinate care.
We protect patient privacy and so does Google.
- Google does not sell user data.
- Google will not share any user information with any third party, unless the user tells them to do so.
- Users can revoke the link with your pharmacy at any time.
- There is no advertising in Google Health.

HealthVault helps people collect and store health information from many sources in one location,
so that it is always organized and available to them online. HealthVault is working with doctors,
hospitals, employers, pharmacies, insurance providers and manufacturers of health devices--blood
pressure monitors, heart rate monitors, and more--to make it easy for people to add information
electronically to their HealthVault records. Users can then share information electronically with
family members and providers as they choose. To learn more about HealthVault, click

Currently, patients can access their prescription history from individual pharmacies’ Web sites linked
to the PDX-Rx.com co-location facility. With the HealthVault integration, patients of pharmacies that aggregate
their data in the Rx.com EPR will be able to go to the Rx.com Web site, Rx.com, to get copies of all their
pharmacy data downloaded into their HealthVault user account. This allows PDX customers the ability to
integrate their prescription data with HealthVault via a link with the Rx.com EPR. As a result, patients will
be able to view a more complete prescription profile that will include clinical pharmacy records from a variety
of pharmacies and healthcare providers.
HealthVault users must explicitly provide consent to any PDX pharmacy client to import their
prescription history into HealthVault and/or share HealthVault profile data back to the pharmacy.
HealthVault also allows users to share their medical data with other providers, which ultimately
